HUMBLE BEGINNINGS

Gillen Fuels was founded in 1952 by William ‘Willie’ Gillen. As a local Derry man, he decided to start his own fuel company with just a horse and cart, right out of Union Street. He began by selling coal to the local community but quickly expanded to other forms of fuel, having acquired his own oil tankers. He worked to provide a first class experience that was both efficient and courteous.

Nearly seven decades on, we are still providing outstanding service, backed with years of hands on experience to our customers. We now service coal, oil and bottled gas to the North West area whilst developing our online ordering system to refine your experience as our client.
